System error 53 has occurred when trying to mount StoreSafe CIFS virtual storage at Microsoft Windows

System error 53 refers to network path invalid which can be caused by invalid StoreSafe hostname or invalid virtual storage name.

To ensure StoreSafe hostname is valid, type the following command in dos prompt to test

    ping <storesafe hostname>

To ensure virtual storage name is valid, type the following command in dos prompt to inquire for list of valid share names

    net view \\<storesafe hostname>
